I can't believe the chinese new year holidays is over so fast. I almost could not wake up today as I have been sleeping late nights and waking up late. I dreaded to go school today. The only think I can console myself with is that today is the shortest day out of the 5 days. I shall have to be contented with this fact.
For chinese new year's eve, we went to my father side ah ma house. Everyone of my cousins gathered there and we ate reunion dinner on two seperate tables. All of the children have grown bigger and the youngest is already pri3, its no wonder there is no place for everyone to squeeze and eat on one table. I think it is quite nice to eat steamboat. I love the hot foot steaming away. All of us ate happily and my grandmother opened some fake can of abalone. Haha. We also lao1 yu2 sheng1. Then the adults started playing cards and the children went to watch television. Mediacorp always bo1 the same show on new year one! I remember watching the exact same two shows they bo1 again! So I just sort of drifted off into space. Then I very sad, everyone said I look fatter. ): They say I become fatter and don't look like a child. How am I suppose to response to that?! I don't want be fat!!!!!!!! Then it was angbao time. We lined up and said greetings according to the age. We could not say some of the greetings for example cai2 yuan2 gun2 gun3 this year as economy no good and cai1 yuan2 sounds like retrenchment. My uncle joked and said he would not give us angbao if we said any of those taboo words. And he took the newspaper which had all the taboo words and checked if we did say any. Then we 12.30pm like that then went home. I was exhausted but still watched tv until 1am to shou3 sui4. I love to shou3 sui4. If only its true that doing this would indeed make our parents live longer!
Then on the chinese new year day itself, we went to my mother's ah ma house. There more quieter, cos many of the elders have already passed away. And we are not very close to the cousins there cos we seldom see that. So I sort of emo-ed at one corner and did nothing. Then we ate abalone and it was the best thing on earth! Then my uncle commented I was fat!!!!! OH NO!!! SO MANY PEOPLE SAY I FAT!!!! ): BOOHOO!!!! Until my cousins went away then me and my sis played with my ahyi card games. It is fun, and I won 30cents. Not bad considering I only bet 10cents a time. (: Then collected random angbaos from people whom I don't really know.
On chu1 er4, we went to father ahma house. And this time, all those unfamiliar relatives appeared and gave us angbaos. Then for lunch at vegetarien meal cos all these relatives are vegetarien. Then the familiar cousins came and we played card games a while. Then some of my uncles and cousins came my house play mahjong. Me and my cousins also played mahjong. We are beginners so anyhow throw here throw there. Haha! I love playing mahjong as a new game. Cos I usually dunno how play. Hehe. Then we went back my ahma house to drink sharkfin soup and eat dinner. And that is pretty much it.
Then today, haiz... same old thing, wake up early.... ):
